i like that you praise meat. thank you.
yes, but -how- did you measure it?
and how accurate is that measurement?
Dear god, that does sound like heaven. Ham is a big downfall for me, i’m a total addict. Especially shaved ham.
now my mouth is watering and it’s not even close to lunch, UGH!
Excellent question JPAbad. I used my ruler.
The ruler is accurate to the 16th of an inch, but I measured it haphazardly. So I would say the tolerance should be about plus/minus a quarter inch.
I would re-measure. But I ate the test subject. Because, as Dan illustrates, Ham is a weakness for everyone.

Infinity: you’re welcome.
The thing that I find questionable, though, is that you said ‘2.5 inches of meat’. Your
picture barely shows 2.5″ INCLUDING bread. So, that sounds a little sketchy, my friend.
Also, if 1/4″ is your tolerance, I think that you should declare your measurement as 2.50″,
remember, sig figs are your friend!
Tim, Bravo. You are extremely observant.
Via the magic of Microsoft Paint Brush:

But I must correct you: Sig Figs are most definitely NOT my friend. Need I remind you of the incident where I calculated the spring constant of our Gillette support bar to be able to withstand 9 billion pounds? Sig Figs are most definitely NOT my friend.
Reguardless of the actual messurement, that is still a lot of ham.
Shaved ham get in mah bel-lay!
That’s still only 2 inches of ham!!!
Disclaimer: Microsoft Paint JPG not to scale.
Even so! The ham starts at .5 inches and ends at 2.5 inches!!!
Yeah, I was just too lazy to make another Paintbrush drawing.
Haha, that’s right. I forgot about that calc.
Too bad we didn’t make it with the material properties of ham. That thing would have been tough!
