Fun: The workload has subsided dramatically as the trade show began. It seems the extreme hours of brutality were only during setup.

Funk: The hall is 1000 degrees F.

Fun: With more sleep I am happy to report that my cold has subsided!

Funk: I’ve developed a weird rash all over my left ankle. It itches like mad and looks like Poison Ivy. Or maybe it’s a heat rash. Or maybe I’m allergic to Germany.

Fun: I leave on Thursday!

Funk: Or wait… actually no. There’s a fair chance my trip will be extended into the fourth of July weekend.

Fun: Tomorrow night I should finally get an opportunity to play tourist. Pictures will be taken!

Wait… Germany? Who said anything about Germany?

The only German thing about my trip thus far is that there’s a German dude named Dirk here who is completely awesome. Extremely awesome. He’s also huge. He might even be considered a giant.

Also, there’s Bratwurst everywhere.

We’ve been working brutal shifts. Typically we leave for our trade show booth ~7:15am and get back to the hotel around 11:30pm at which point we either grab a quick Bratwurst or go directly to bed.

Adding insult to injury, I am coming down with a nasty cold. BUT! The people here are awesome and that pretty much makes up for it. They are wonderful.

Still, I ache to get home so that I can get more than 6 hrs of sleep.

I’ll try to steal away again to post more soon. I hope everything is going awesome in the US!

Hello good readers!

I am in Germany for a Trade show. So far, things have been going well. We’ve been working fairly long days (12-13hrs) but for the most part these hours haven’t been very stressful. Our booth is ahead of schedule and there are a wealth of talented people helping the cause, so hopefully we can stay ahead of the game. I’m told that things will get insane as opening day approaches.

The people here are wundebar. It’s fun to work with folks from my companies other divisions. It’s especially fun working with a younger crowd. Most of the people that I interact with on a daily basis back at home are a bit older, so this is a treat.

More updates later today! For now I must retun to the work.
