Sweater Thursday!

Hello good readers! It’s Sweater Thursday yet again!

New Tie!

This morning I decided to pair my argyle sweater with a new light purple tie. Love it.

Next up! Jess!

With red bead necklace!

Jess joins us this week with a purple sweater complete with red bead accessory. I approve of all things red, so this outfit gets a win in my book.

Next, Jesse and Alicia pair up with a couple sweater submission!

Couple Sweaters!

While I can’t quite make it out with complete certainty, it sure does look like Alicia’s sweater is covered in tiny shimmering glitter specks. Awesome.

UPDATE!
two more participants! First, Chicago Caitlin!

Looking Classy

Caitlin, I love the collar on that sweater. Great choice!

Next up, Nicole!

Ha!

Wow, Nicole. This picture is hilarious. Firstly, great sweater. Second, that face is priceless. Wins all around.

Have a great Sweater Thursday everybody! If you’re wearing a sweater and haven’t sent me a photo, e-mail it over to MikeDiDonato AT gmail D0T com.

Sweater Thursday!

Bam! Sweaters.

Brown sweater, Pink Tie, Lips red with chappedness.

I’m pretty sure I’ve done the brown sweater/pink tie thing in the past, but I really like the color combo. Also, I seem to have an overabundance of brown sweaters.

Next up, we have Caitlin in her gray cardigan sweater!

Complete with constellations!

She points out that her t-shirt is of the Adler Planetarium, complete with constellations peeking through. I approve said t-shirt.

Sisi joins us again from China, with a long pink sweater!

This style is called a Japan/Korea sweater.

Sisi informs me that this style is particularly popular in her city right now. Looks great Sisi!

Finally, here’s a picture of Jesse thanking his neighbors for snow blowing his driveway!

Whoa, screen interference.

Jesse comments on how he likes that his sweater kinda matches the interferences pattern of the screen.

Let’s extend a big welcome to Erich!

So casually fashionable!

Erich. Way to rock the gray v-neck. I also love that you’ve labeled that computer EMBRYOLOGY. Erich tells it how it is.

Sweater Thursday!

Happy Sweater Thursday! Let’s get sweatered.

Orange!

I got this sweater post Christmas and I really like the color. It’s a bit fallesque, but deal with it. See that pencil I’m holding? It’s Wynton Marsalis’s pencil. It’s a mechanical pencil and frankly, it’s not very great. But its historic essence gives it royal status amongst my other office desk accessories.

Next up, Jess P!

Jess in gray!

Jess! You look so pretty in this photograph. Was this taken in a coffee shop? Your dedication to Sweater Thursday is clearly unhampered by social pressures.

Chip joins us again!

Like a Boss

I’m fairly certain, Chip, that there isn’t a picture out there where you don’t look like you’ve got everything under control. Although I can’t help but wonder, did you just write those variables on your white board behind you to look extra smart for this photo?

SiSi joins us again from China!

Happy New Year!

SiSi sent a note with her sweater photo saying that she’s wearing red to celebrate this first Sweater Thursday of 2011 (excellent color choice SiSi!) and also that the three little bears on her sweater are wishing everyone a happy new year! Thanks SiSi! Great Sweater!

Next up The Other Mike D!

It's a cheerful morning

Other Mike D, you are looking great today. I enjoy your sweater and I applaud your hat choice. It looks warm and cheerful.

UPDATES!

Aubree sent in her new Christmas Sweater courtesy of Mom Aubree.

Excellent Argyle!

The silvery sparkle accents are really what bring this one home. Extend our compliments to Mom Aubree!

Colleen has sent in her submission!

Colleen in a texture black sweater

Colleen, I love the sharp contrast between the black sweater and your accent red. I need to add more zippered sweaters to my collection. I think I have none. ha ha!

UPDATE AGAIN!

Tom and Mykal have joined the submissions for the week!

Tom and Mykal!

Mykal! I haven’t seen a full picture of you since your pregnancy was announced! You look so healthy and ready for a child! I can’t wait to hear about the newest addition. Also, this brings to mind Kurt and Shauna who are only a few short days away from their first child’s expected due date. Daaaang! So many children everywhere. This is getting crazy.

And finally, we have maybe the best sweater I’ve ever seen in my life.

Unicorns for the win!

Apparently, this sweater is a relic of Caitlin’s past. She brought it back. Oh, she brought it back.

Amazing sweater Caitlin! We appreciate it.

How about you? Are you wearing a sweater today? Send a picture to MikeDiDonato AT gmail D0T com

Sweater Thursday!

Yeah, yeah, it’s almost Friday and I’m posting a Sweater Thursday post. Shame on me.

Extra shame on me because I was definitely wearing a sweater today, but I dropped the ball and didn’t take a picture. Thankfully, a few of you were kind enough to send in a few pictures. So let’s give a big hand to Jessie, SiSi, and Jill.

First up, Jessie complete with Mr. Pickles!

So festive!

Oh Mr. Pickles. That cat is a wonderful cat. During my visit to Ukraine, Mr. Pickles was kind enough to keep my neck warm during sleep/naps on more than one occasion.

Next up, SiSi!

Whoa! Fantastic Mittens!

SiSi explains that it’s going to be the year of the rabbit in China, so she decided to boost up the festivity with some rabbit mittens. Awesome!

Jill also sent an e-mail, but I think she may have forgotten the attachment. We eagerly await this picture, however, as it comes from an Ugly Christmas Sweater contest. These contests often result in the most joyous Sweater Thursday photos.

UPDATE: Jill has resent her sweater. And wow. it is ugly.

Perfect.

ha ha ha! Awesome pose/facial expression Jill. If that’s not Christmas, I don’t know what is.

Finally, we have a special contribution from Jesse.

Ye Ole' SweaterVest

Jesse contributes this story:

I FINALLY got a picture of the infamous “sweater vest” for sweater Thursday. AND it was actually taken ON this Thursday.
I also wore a sweater, but did not photograph it.

To remind you, this is the item of apparel that spawned the following conversation:

Coworker: If I quit I’d totally take that with me.
Jesse: Why? Whose is it?
Coworker: I don’t know.
Jesse: How long has it been there?
Coworker: At least as long as I have.

He’s worked there 10 years, and it’s never once moved an inch.

Whooooa.

Next week, more sweaters! Stay warm and Happy Holidays!
