Sword

Pete Wilk was kind enough to take some time post-polo a few weeks back and take some pictures of my new kung fu sword. The sword form is a beautiful one and part of the reason for this is that the sword is such an attractive weapon. Check it out!

Awesome!

Thanks again to Pete for the great pictures!

Does the flag or tassel on the end of the flag denote proficiency with the weapon like your belt does? Will it change color as you get better with it? And what is the Crit range on a baby like that….19-20? 18-20?!?!

Interestingly, no. The flag on the tassel is standard regardless of weapon proficiency. That’s a great idea though!

What does change over time is critical range. Right now, I need a 19 or 20, though there are a few people at the academy who can probably roll as low as 16 and still go vorpal.

I’m glad you didn’t say, “The red flag on the end is to avoid bad stains when you wipe up the blood.”

ha! Actually, the real purpose of the flag is to tie around your wrist so that if, for whatever reason, you lose your grip you won’t drop your sword.

Basically it’s like a Wii remote leash.
