Jes Saint is doing a little exercise of trying to regularly write. Here are some fun words she wrote about Coffee.

Coffee is the friend whose call is always welcome. The lover you don’t have to hide. Warmth and wakefulness float on ribbons of steam, a comforting contrast to the blaring shock of the alarm clock. Clouds of sleepiness parted rather than broken, bringing a more peaceful start to the day.

Nice job Jes! I love it.

Friends? I’m headed to Ohio again. As I find myself returning again and again, I can’t help but be reminded of this comic by NatalieDee.

This Ohio trip will be followed by another Ohio trip on the Friday after Thanksgiving. I’ll be there into December, returning for weekends of class and then returning to Ohio for weeks of labor. It’s not all bad. At least it’s a short flight to Ohio and the weather hasn’t been terrible. It’s a clean facility and it’s not overwhelming on the nerves. What I dislike most are all those days spent away from home.

Rock has suffered the most. I’ve picked up my PRS about three times in the last two months. I realized this on the drive to work this morning as I happened to pass the drummer of the band on the highway. I’m certain it was him. Few others drive jacked up pickup trucks covered in Transformer and Van Halen decals. His truck is truly legendary.

Kung Fu and Climbing are next on the cast aside list. My poor attendance became especially evident on Monday when I went to Kung Fu and found myself notably winded.

Thankfully in December I’ll be taking all sorts of vacation time. I’m excited about that. It will be pretty awesome.

Hey everybody! It’s Sweater Thursday again!

Send me your sweater photos, and I’ll post ‘em on the blog.

First, my sweater. It’s brown. Nearly 50% of my sweaters are brown. I’m okay with this though. This particular one has a pretty sweet texture to it. Over the years of ownership it has shrunk a little bit, so it’s just barely long enough on the arms. Any shorter and I’ll have to retire it to the bin of the well worn.

I’ve gone with a pink tie to add some excitement. Despite this, I still look a little shell shocked in the photo. I blame the ungodly hour of 6:00am.

Mykal joins us!! I love her bright green color. It puts my brown ensemble to shame.

And the striped color? Nice touch!

Jocelyn continues her participation streak with a homemade handknit sweater!

I like the swatch of texture on the left.

not only is she wearing a stylish sweater, you can see on the left of the picture there is a fantastic view of her brand new purple coat which, though it isn’t a sweater, is totally awesome.

Irene is looking thoughtful in her gray sweater today.

Jesse’s sweater matches the giant head pretty well actually.
