Last night I forgot about a pot of water on the stove.

while i’m thankful that I didn’t burn down the house, I am bummed because I think I destroyed the teflon pot.

Sorry about the pot.

The other day, I forgot about meat on the stove. All the water simmered away, and the meat burned. Fortunately, I managed to save most of the meat, and we were able to have supper.

At least it was a Teflon pot, which any serious cook realizes is “crap”! Now if it was an All-Clad…

Bummer. I used to do this all the time, usually after the pasta was added, then I would be alerted by the gross smell of burning pasta once the water boiled away.

Teflon does start to break down around 500F so it probably not good to use anymore, degreaded teflon is not good for you from what I hear.

My flatmate did this to one of my pots last year, it took him 6 months to replace my saucepan!

Remember that time I had you convinced that I had scrubbed all your pots with steel wool?
