Perhaps we should all respond with equally nonsensical comments.

The llamas prefer a quieter plateau, don’t rush the biscuits.

Paper cut assaults the document;

Turfing on the yellow, upon which he practices the Steiner.

Cameras rough the obscurity of the benevolent mailman. We look at pansies and pancakes.

Effervescent chinchillas prefer to sunbathe outside the constraints of their radical leftist chinchilla colony leaders.

Perhaps the “riding it out to 27″ refers to mike d. approaching his 27th birthday, maybe going through some difficulties during this year, thinking that the new year may hold fabulous wonders that will surpass all that he has already experienced, and/or that he will be refreshed and revitalized in the upcoming year. Happy Upcoming Birthday, Mike D!

This is what I was thinking too. If so I hope year 27 is everything you want it to be! I personally am holding that hope out for year 29.

But it’s my birthday today, not Mike D’s!! What the heck D! Are you trying to steal my thunder?

Ryan, is it really your birthday today? ?

Happy Birthday from the Old Ds!

It’s “morning comes to sunrise”, and that’s really depressing Mike. But on the upside, with “the” you’re #2 in a google search of that phrase. Surprisingly, even with “to”, you’re still #4. Weird…

Hmm. I think “morning comes the sunrise” makes more sense than “morning comes to sunrise” even though the latter is a famous lyric.

Morning comes WITH sunrise makes more sense.

I looked up various definitions of daytime. Some sources define daytime as sunrise to sunset, in which case, morning could not come to sunrise. Other sources define it as the time period when the earth is naturally illuminated, beginning with the pre-rise period of light before the sun actually crests the horizon and ending after dusk when the last traces of light can be seen. In that case, morning could come to sunrise, not much later than it began. I guess we know what camp Stephen was in…

Of course, I assumed that sunrise begins when the sun crests the horizon. You could always argue the “rise” is happening once you start to see light. Whatever, poetic license trumps all!

I dropped by the D homestead in Eastham today. Everything looked like it was in order.
