That looks more like a red/black/red belt. Were all your other belts that kind of getup? Do you get to keep the previous color belts? Could you walk around wearing like a brown belt and try to trick some stupid blue belt into dueling you then bust out some super awesome red belt action and kick his ass and then laugh over him while he cries that he lost to a grown up? that would be sweet.

it is indeed red/black/red. The black stripe indicates a dedication towards achieving ‘black belt’ status. And yes, the other belts have been mostly the same design.

Unfortunately, our school isn’t big enough to trick other students with faux belts. Though brown belt is actually higher than red, so the joke would be on me!

Tat Wong Kung Fu belt order:
Yellow, Gold, Orange, Jade, Green, Blue, Red, Brown, Advanced Brown, Black.

I’m close!

So what does advanced brown look like? Is normal brown like a light brown, then advanced would be Dark Brown, or perhaps Burnt Sienna? And will the black belt be Black/Black/Black or some other funky color? Also, what put you over the dge from Blue to Red? Did you have to complete an obstacle course, or something like that? maybe defeat 10 Blue Belts in Under 45 Seconds? How do the decide the line from belt color to belt color?

Wow! Congratulations Mikey D! I thought you were feeling down about your practice time?! I guess you can’t stop your natural kung fu prowess from shining through!
