On top of the fun, it was exciting to be in charge of getting things done. I signed time sheets and approved engineering changes. I improved an operations charting system and got to tell people what to do. I also had to rule shipping with an iron fist. Those guys are slippery.
I did let a few people out early. One guy was ’sick’. But he really did look sick and was disappointed to be leaving on the day I ruled the school. Two other guys were pestering me to leave at noon. I got them to stay until about two.
I would rate this day as a huge success, and the first day in awhile where I was disappointed to see that time was passing as quickly as it was.
