Ha ha, that’s funny! :)

It would be way quicker to swim to, say Brighton. 10 minute walk from beach to train station, 1 hour on the train to London. Going via France adds an unnecessary 3-4 hours to the trip. I’ve always thought Gmap’s routing was suspect.

This is funny, but there’s also some pretty amazing stuff here. Try getting directions to my old home of Sitka, AK, which is on an island but has daily ferry service. GMaps knows about the ferries, and knows where they dock! That’s pretty incredible!
