A single handed type.

April 4th, 2007 by mike d. in A Day In The Life...

currently eating: an apple.

Dvorák, in addition to designing an ultimate efficiency keyboard, developed a bunch of keyboard layouts for the handicapped. One of these was for left handed typing only. And apparently, people who spent the time to learn the layout could type at speeds of over 60 words a minute.

This keyboard was clearly designed for two distinct sets:

1. People with no right hand
2. Autocad users

to the left, to the left

With a right hand on the mouse and the left hand gracefully navigating the keys, Autocad efficiency would go through the roof!

AutoCAD in the house.

Here are some other keyboards designed for single handed use. I was interested in buying one and being the coolest guy at Autodesk.
