      Test!

January 19th, 2007 by mike d. in House of Rock

I have a big Accounting exam this evening. This is the first REAL test of my MBA. The last two classes were focused more on projects and papers than tests.

I feel moderately prepared, but I’m going to see if I can leave work early to get a little extra study time in pre-test.

Also, I’m not sure if I mentioned this in public yet, but Jesse and I are selling the House of Rock.

On June 1st , 2007, there will be a new Mike D residence.

      Makoto Nagano

January 19th, 2007 by mike d. in Features

      Hero!

The Japanese Ninja Warrior obstacle course contains 4 stages.

Stage one is all about speed and balance. Get to the end within the time allotment, without falling.

Stage two also has a time limit which varies in length depending on how challenging the obstacles are. The final three challenges are always the same: Three doors, each heavier than the last, leading to the final timed buzzer.

Stage three is different as there is no time limit. Instead, there are a series of exceedingly difficult obstacles that focus heavily on upper body strength and grip strength.

      Stage four.

Few contestants have reached the fourth and final stage. In this stage the contestants must scale a 40 foot wall and a 30 foot rope in a mere thirty seconds. Only two individuals have ever completed the course.

Makoto Nagano was one of them.

This 33 year old commercial fisherman outperformed Olympians, Martial artists, Professional wrestlers, and firefighters

Makoto Nagano is a true hero.
