Class
Last night I had my new Mechanical Engineering class. I’m taking “The Theory of Elasticity.” It has some potential to be interesting. From the sound of it, this class will be an all encompassing trip into the world of correlated theories. It sounds like with the things learned in this class I will be able to derive equations of solid mechanics, fluids, and thermodynamics! Aww yeah!
In equally as exciting news, my sister Alicia may have found one of my lost socks yesterday.
I like the comparison, it really shows your feeling for both.
Finding a lost sock is extraordinarily exciting. Not only do you find something you didn’t have before, but what you did have before (the other sock) has increased in utility by a remarkable degree. I think this correlation to a course that bridges already familiar topics is self-explanatory. Mike D. once again amazes us with giving the most casual of correlations new metaphorical depth. Bravo.
And to think, when I find a lost sock, all I think about is how I can finally get the other one out of the lost sock box. I’m obviously not looking deeply enough into the true meaning of “finding the lost”.

I personally have no luck finding missing socks. So I am in awe of anyone who can find them. The battle with the sock monster must have been awesome!
