Skyline 21!
Wow, two skyline features in a row. Crazy!
I congratulate Patrick and Tyler* for making the connection between my clue (it mentioned light and wonder) and the satellite image’s unique northward facing beach to correctly identify the location as Pharos, an island off of Alexandria, Egypt. This was the location of the Lighthouse of Alexandria (one of the seven wonders of the world).
No one got the skyline. It was Rochester, NY.
So this brings us to this week’s puzzle.

That skyline is Hartford, CT.
That sattelite image is a peninsula or possible half of an island. I haven’t figured it out yet.
Can we get a hint? I’m stumped.
The Satellite is extremely hard.
Here’s a hint.
This is a computer generated picture that combines satellite image with elevation data.
The area in the red circles is the area shown in the original satellite image.
As the week progresses I will give more and more hints for this satellite image. I’ll tell you outright that it was suppose to be a significant location… but that I missed. So really, it’s just a random spot.
Hopefully that enlarged satellite elevation image will help.
I found it! and by I found it I mean it was a joint effort by Ben, my co-worker Mike and Myself. So i want this victory over patrick to go out to all three of us! i’ll email you the answer MikeD so as not to ruin the fun for everyone!

Is the satellite photo the na’apali coast of hawaii?
Wow, I just got back from mostly-internetless Christmas vacation, and I find a whopper of a satellite image. I have several clues figured out, but everywhere I’ve looked has come up empty. I don’t know if I’ll be able to get this one.
The skyline of Rochester, did you choose it because that building in the center of the photo looks a bit like the Alexandria Lighthouse?
