What’s your favorite atypical short-cut?

I like the Alt + F4 shortcut, but the one I use the most is Ctrl + s, the writer’s friend.

I live for Ctrl+Z, the coward’s friend.

Ctrl + D, which is what I always set my Excel macros to.

‘Alt - F’ then ‘M’ to rename files. I’m kinda weird about all my filenames needing to be in the same format.

windows+m will perform the same thing (minimize :-) )

but the best is windows + R for the run window.

Alt-Spacebar gives you the little window menu that you normally get by clicking your upper-left program icon.

This way you can minimize, maximize, restore and move from the keyboard, which is crucial if you’re going to be a super nerd like me.

I’m a fan of CTRL+W to close windows. Helps a lot in tabbed browsing.

ctrl+shft+z is most excellent for excel macros, since it can be done with one clustered paw
