it should be noted that it’s way more fun in full screen flash.

No commentsCo-worker Aaron: You know, I thought we spent our years in college so that we wouldn’t have to be out in the field turning wrenches on a Sunday afternoon.

Here’s a little write up describing design techniques that we probably all take for granted.

No commentsDearest Readers,
I want to vamp up two sections of this website. The first is ‘favorite posts.’ If you look at the bar on the left and scroll down you’ll come to a list of favorite posts. Do any of you have any favorite posts that you think I should include in the list?
The second section is the About me page. Right now it’s passable, but not awesome. It definitely needs new photos. Any other suggestions?
Rock,
Mike D.

Authored by: mike d.We’ve received the first entry to this week’s Halloween MSPaint Marathon.
This artist was inspired by the flip like characteristics of my hair and came up with:
Authored by: mike d.Ryan Schenk correctly solved one of the mike d puzzles. A lot of people thought it said “Do you like pizza” in Braile. While this may or may not be true (no one knows for sure), Ryan solved it the way that I intended.
This is the puzzle as it appeared on my website.
To solve, first rotate the image 90 degrees, weed out the unnecessary dots (placed with the intent to trick) then the pattern becomes a lot more predictable and you can connect the dots.
Please see the diagram below:

As you can see, the “random” dots aren’t so random at all. in fact, they very clearly spell the words “KURT’S FAT”
Great job Ryan!
I hope everyone had fun with the puzzle!
So here we are. It’s finally fall. And Halloween approaches.
This year I thought I’d try something a bit fun. I have created a templet drawing of myself located HERE.
Go to that picture and copy it into MSPaint on your computer and then color me in and give the mike d on the right a Halloween costume. It can be as elaborate or as simple as you desire. You can also submit multiple entries if you’d like. Please type the name of your costume in the lower right so that we will be able to identify your creation.
Here’s an example: Business Partner Alien Mike D.
I’ll post the pictures throughout the next two weeks as they come in. This one’s going to be less of a contest and more of a “let’s have a good time” sort of thing. So go nuts.
The only rule is to keep it MSPaint real.
