Call Dad
The other day our roommate Liz asked Jesse and I to remind her to call her dad on Friday (today) for his birthday.
We remembered to remind her.

on a cell phone…
Lady: I don’t want to leave Ohio. It reminds me a bit of Texas except it’s colder.
Wow.

1 CommentA lot of thought goes into the design of fonts.
Here’s a little write up describing design techniques that we probably all take for granted.

No commentsDearest Readers,
I want to vamp up two sections of this website. The first is ‘favorite posts.’ If you look at the bar on the left and scroll down you’ll come to a list of favorite posts. Do any of you have any favorite posts that you think I should include in the list?
The second section is the About me page. Right now it’s passable, but not awesome. It definitely needs new photos. Any other suggestions?

A few weeks ago my ex-co-worker Pam visited the House of Rock. We caught up and talked a lot about our current jobs.
Pam, it turns out, signed up for her company’s golf group. They leave early one day each week to play golf.
Our conversation went something like this:
Mike D: do you KNOW how to play golf?
Pam: I’m learning!
Mike D: wow, that’s really good.
Pam: I know, and since all of the managers and execs play I get to socialize with them
Mike D: I can’t believe you play golf
Pam: Neither can I!
… pause …
Pam: I have the CUTEST PINK GOLF OUTFIT!!!
she is especially proud of her shoes
Without looking it up, which do you think has a greater area:
The State of Rhode Island or The Great Salt Lake
Authored by: mike d.Last night at Kung Fu class I was promoted to Jade belt. Jade is the final of the ‘beginner belts.’ Upon completion of this, I will be an intermediate kung fu artist (yes!). One good thing about Jade is that it is the start of sparring. The bad thing is that the “jade” sash is less like jade and more like a flourescent green.
How am I suppose to be stealthy when I have a flourescent green beacon shining out from my waist??
Last night we were all doing quad stretches where you bend your knee up and hold your ankle behind your back, so from the front, it looks like you only have one leg.
Someone commented on how we all look like pirates. Which brought on the joke:
What do pirates like most about Kung Fu?
The like to Sparrrrrrrr
