shh. the refridgerator is angry

July 20th, 2005 by mike d. in House of Rock, PaintBrush!

currently eating: cereal

The House of Rock has a Fridge. And it is a monster.

Just when there’s a lull in the conversation, or when someone makes an unfunny comment… the Fridge growls. It’s unlike any sound that you would ever expect from a refrigerator. It’s much more like the sound you would expect from a vicious beast.

AAAAAH! RUN!!

Ever seen the “Achtung” warning poster on my fridge? There’s a good story behind it, involving Ed.

yes, I do recall that that had something to do with the entirety of your dorm room flooding. Really though, stories involving Ed Giarnese are usually pretty good stories.

Maybe.

I’m thinking of a number between 1 and 10.

I think it’s more like a monster living within the fridge. And what we hear are simply the growling whispers of a vicious beast. Or perhaps stomach noises.
What’s funny is we never really even think anything of it, until Jesse (monster mediary, apparently) points out what it’s saying.

However, that drawing is AMAZING. Way to go, Mike D.

Mike D,
Did you get lost at Flander’s Farm, on the corner of Flanders and Flanders in Southington?

yes, that’s exactly where we got lost.

Seven is the most magical number, apparently. But my guess is 4. I want the funniest story you got.

7 means that someone else has to tell the story.

4 gets you one line:

“And then he FELL!”

hmm. I don’t know the “ACHTUNG” story well enough to write about it. But Ed Giarnese was the one who got horribly sick about 4 times during our 12 hour drive through a blizzard to Vermont where we had to shovel ourselves out of a snowbank after swerving to avoid a ‘huge chunk of ice’ which turned out to be a paper bag.
