LENT is done.

Well, Firstly, I think I should point out that my WPTopsite position has taken a serious dive. But, don’t worry friends. I will continue to edit my banner as often as possible even when I’m at a lackluster #3.

Secondly, Lent is over. And now I am free to consume all those things which I so desperately wanted during the last 40 days. I’ve already had a substantial amount of chocolate and desserts.

And Lastly, I’m going to try to reach a new level of super-activity for the next few weeks. Running, climbing, lifting, speedbagging… it’s going to be epic.

Speaking of running MikeD. I’m thinking of starting to run, to try and lose a portion of my immense fat collection before the wedding. Can you offer any advice for a fledgling runner?

My sister Theresa could probably offer better advice, as she has a much greater running history than I. But, I will say this: get yourself a nice pair of running shoes from a place that will give you the full once over. I went to Trailblazers for mine. They analyzed my feet and my gate and found a shoe that was perfect for my specific type of running. That has helped quite a bit. Besdies that, I say don’t forget to stretch, and take it slow in the beginning.

ok. I have a pair of adidas, that I was going to use right at the outset. Perhaps once I get moving more I will do the full once over on the running shoes but I think for now I’ll stick with my own stuff. Thanks for the advice thought Mike. I will remember to stretch. How is training for the BM coming along? When is your estimated start time? Perhaps I’ll try to meet you along the way, to give you paper cups of water you can pour on your head.
