#3. if the government made it required under law to pass in a vote slip (blank is allowed, but all MUST submit something) I would think about the candidates more and place a thoughtful vote.
#4. with the new system, my vote still wouldn’t realistically make a difference. but the “well if all the non-voters voted…” arguement would finally pull some weight.

for the time being, I do appreciate sites like this. At least that’s some sort of motivation.

      Travel and a swim hole.

September 9th, 2004 by mike d. in Work

I just got back from Kentucky/West Virginia. it was one of the most trying journey’s of my existance so far. As of yesterday morning, all was well. I arrived Tuesday night and stayed in an ENORMOUS king sized bed. Had an average sleep, woke up and went to our customer’s site at 8. And the meeting ended well at 10am.

The problem was that our plane didn’t leave Charleston until 7pm. That’s 9 hrs of waiting death.

      9 hrs.

We drove around for a bit and went to the capital for an hour or so, but the pouring rain made it less exciting. We went to get some lunch and around 2 we went to the airport where we waited for 5 hrs. Then 4 more hours of air travel after that. After an hour in the air I started feeling ill.

the only good thing was that I read more than 500 pages of Atlas Shrugged.

On an entirely different happier note, here’s a picture of H.C.alicia and I at a swimming hole in CT this past weekend. for more fun swimming places try here.
